1. 100% Client-Side Processing Guarantee

At UtilityNow (accessible from utilitynow.in), one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. Unlike traditional cloud utilities that upload your files, confidential source codes, JSON payloads, and personal information to remote servers, the vast majority of our developer utilities, formatting tools, image processors, and calculators execute 100% locally inside your web browser using modern client-side JavaScript, HTML5 Canvas, Web Workers, and WebAssembly.

Your raw inputs, code snippets, authorization tokens, passwords, and documents never leave your computer or phone and are not recorded on our backend servers.

2. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising Disclosures

To keep all of our utilities 100% free and accessible without mandatory paid subscriptions or paywalls, UtilityNow displays third-party advertisements served by Google AdSense and authorized advertising networks.

These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology in their respective advertisements and links that appear on UtilityNow, which are sent directly to users' browsers. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. Other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons) may also be used by the third-party ad networks to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit.

Please note that UtilityNow has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers once consent is managed.

5. Financial, Tax & Investment Calculators

All financial and analytical calculators — including our RD Calculator, Cumulative Calculator, SIP Calculator, Loan EMI Calculator, Salary & Tax Calculator, Gratuity Calculator, and GST Calculator — compute figures in real-time strictly in your device's memory.

• We do not record, transmit, or profile your income, investment amounts, deposit tenures, interest rates, or tax computations.
• Exported CSV schedules and print documents are assembled locally in your browser's memory without touching any server backend.

6. Image, Photo & Document Processing

Tools such as the Image Cropper & Resizer, Image Compressor, WebP Converter, Image to Base64, Passport Photo Generator, and PDF Utilities operate using HTML5 Canvas, the File API, and client-side encoding libraries.

• Your uploaded photos and documents are rendered directly in browser memory and are never uploaded to cloud storage buckets or external databases.
• Cropping, dimension resizing (by pixels or percentages), quality adjustments, and format conversions are saved directly to your local file system.

7. One-Time Secret Share Security & Zero-Knowledge E2EE

Our Share Secret utility is designed with a strict Zero-Knowledge, End-to-End Encrypted (E2EE) security model:

• Browser-Side AES-256 Encryption: Your secret payload is encrypted locally inside your browser using AES-256 before any network request is initiated.
• Zero-Knowledge Key in URL Hash: The encryption key is appended solely after the URL hash fragment (#key). Browsers never send hash fragments to web servers in HTTP requests, guaranteeing our servers cannot read or decrypt your secrets.
• Atomic Burn-on-Read: Once a recipient retrieves the ciphertext, the record is immediately and permanently purged from server memory.
• Automatic Expiration: Any unread encrypted secret automatically self-destructs and is permanently erased after the chosen time window (or 24 hours maximum).

8. Audio Synthesis & Hardware Testing Privacy

• Text-to-Audio (TTS): When synthesizing spoken audio across multilingual voices, the synthesis stream processes your input ephemerally in-memory to deliver direct audio bytes. No synthesized audio files or text transcript logs are stored on disk or saved in databases.
• Microphone & Speaker Testing: Hardware verification tools utilize standard Web Audio and MediaStream APIs. Audio streams and sound waveforms exist solely in active device memory for live decibel and frequency visualization and are never recorded or transmitted anywhere.
• Camera & QR/Barcode Scanner: Video streams from your web camera or mobile camera are decoded frame-by-frame locally within your browser canvas. No video frames are captured or sent to any server.

9. Google Analytics & Local Storage

We use Google Analytics to collect aggregated, anonymized statistics such as overall page views, browser types, and approximate geographic regions to monitor site performance, uptime, and user experience. Local storage (localStorage) is used exclusively to retain your personal interface settings — such as your Light/Dark theme preference, recently used tools, or calculator defaults — strictly on your local device.

10. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

UtilityNow offers educational kids activities and games (such as math puzzles, coloring pages, and word search generators). We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. All educational games execute entirely on the client side without requiring registration or profile creation. If you believe your child has provided personal information on our website, please contact us immediately and we will promptly remove such information from our records.
