Frequently Asked Questions

Are my password-protected PDFs safe when uploading to this tool?

Absolutely. Our tools run 100% client-side. The password decryption, page reading, and rendering process occur entirely in your local browser sandbox. No PDF data, passwords, or images are ever uploaded to a backend server, ensuring complete confidentiality.

What scale should I choose for high-quality HD images?

By default, the converter uses the '2x (HD)' multiplier. This doubles the resolution relative to the standard page layout size (usually 72 dpi) and is perfect for printing, presentations, or OCR. For extra detail or large printings, select '3x (Super HD)' or '4x (Ultra HD)'.

Why does the clipboard copy function always convert to PNG?

The W3C Clipboard API standard and OS clipboards strictly require PNG formats for images. If you select JPEG for downloads and choose to copy a page, the tool automatically re-exports that specific page as a PNG image in the background to ensure it pastes successfully into apps like Word, Slack, or Photoshop.

Can I convert large PDF books?

Yes, you can! However, since rendering takes place entirely inside your browser's RAM, very large PDFs rendered at 4x (Ultra HD) quality might consume significant memory. For files over 50 pages, we recommend converting at 2x (HD) quality or converting in page chunks using the Custom Page Range selector.
