What is the formula to calculate the required final exam score?

The formula is: Required Final Score = [Desired Target Grade − (Current Grade × (100 − Final Weight) ÷ 100)] ÷ (Final Weight ÷ 100).

What if the required score is higher than 100%?

If the required score exceeds 100%, it is mathematically impossible to achieve that target grade without extra credit points from your instructor.

What if the required score is negative or zero?
